We employ our own W2 courier team rather than dispatching through Uber, Doordash, Postmates, or other gig apps. This is a deliberate operational choice — we control routing, packaging, product handling, and customer interaction end-to-end.

Every courier receives a batch-verified order manifest, real-time route optimization based on NYC traffic, and dedicated support to reroute if a customer isn't home. Deliveries are signature-required to prevent misdelivery and confirm receipt by the intended recipient.

NYC Delivery FAQs — Edge Cases and Fine Print

What happens if my courier can't reach the door? +

Doorman buildings, gated entrances, and walk-up complexes each have their own protocol. Our couriers call the number on file when they arrive. If you're not reachable and no reception can accept, we hold the order at our Astoria hub and reattempt delivery the following business day at no additional charge.

Can I change my delivery address after ordering? +

Yes, if the courier hasn't left our facility. Call (646) 685-3977 immediately with your order number and new address. We can reroute within the same borough for no extra charge. Cross-borough changes may require canceling and reordering depending on the courier's assigned route.

Can someone else accept the delivery for me? +

The person accepting must be 21+ with valid government ID matching the name we can verify. If a household member is receiving on your behalf, add their name in the order notes at checkout. Deliveries cannot be left with doormen, mailrooms, or in unsecured areas.

What if my order arrives damaged? +

Refuse the delivery at the door — our courier documents the damage and returns the package to Astoria. A replacement is dispatched the same day if inventory allows, or the following business day. If damage isn't noticed until unboxing, text photos to (646) 685-3977 within 2 hours for immediate replacement.

Do you deliver during rain, snow, or bad weather? +

Yes — rain and snow don't stop deliveries, though extreme conditions may extend the standard 1–3 hour window. If NYC issues a travel advisory or severe weather emergency, we may pause dispatches for courier safety and resume within 24 hours. Order status updates are emailed throughout.

Is the $3.99 delivery fee refundable if I return an item? +

The $3.99 delivery fee is non-refundable on completed deliveries because it covers courier labor already dispatched. If the courier never left our facility (order canceled before pickup), the fee is refunded in full. Damaged product refunds include the full product cost.

Can I place multiple same-day orders on one day? +

Yes — each order is treated independently with its own $100 minimum and $3.99 delivery fee. Frequent same-day customers often place a single larger order once per day to maximize efficiency and only pay the $3.99 fee once.

Do I get tracking updates from your couriers? −

You receive one email notification when your order leaves our Astoria hub for delivery. We do not currently offer live GPS tracking, SMS text updates, or arrival-window countdowns. Can I schedule a same-day delivery for later in the day? +

Yes. Choose a preferred arrival window at checkout — options include "as soon as possible," "afternoon (2–5 PM)," "evening (5–8 PM)," or "late (8–10 PM)." We dispatch to hit your requested window whenever possible.

Are same-day tips expected or included? +

Tips are appreciated but never expected or required. Our couriers are W2 employees earning fair wages — the $3.99 delivery fee covers their labor. Optional tip amounts can be added at checkout or given directly to the courier.
