THC-A
THC-A flower buds are cannabis buds that have a greater percentage of THC-A (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid). THC-A is the acidic precursor of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the molecule that gives cannabis its euphoric effects. THC-A is not psychoactive in and of itself, and it only produces THC through a process known as decarboxylation, which is commonly accomplished by heating the cannabis, such as by smoking or vaping. THC-A flower buds can be ingested in a variety of ways, including fresh in juices or smoothies, or as part of tinctures or products designed expressly to preserve THC-A.
